HAND STUDY

I'm interested in how individuals can be depicted through both literal and metaphorical bodies, and I found hands to be an interesting twist on portraiture that I hadn't attempted before. Hands tell stories about their owners, and the way people use hands to communicate reveals the complex interpersonal relationships between them. Thus, in this year-long project, I attempted to explore and convey identities and relationships through an often-overlooked aspect of the human experience.
